![]() A: Great specs that can work well in multiples. The average number of copies of specs in this tier is usually three or higher, as they bring tremendous amounts of damage with useful damage profiles and often other helpful pieces of utility or defensive options. S: Specs that we expect to dominate the compositions and the damage meters of raid compositions. We’re defining each tier as follows for DPS: Patch 10.1 Dragonflight DPS Tier List for Aberrus This is a factor that our tier list does try to consider. ![]() The existence of these buffs also means that specs’ relative values depend somewhat on the strength of the healer and tank specs of their same class: if you’re always getting your raid buff from a healing Priest for instance, the Shadow Priest becomes a lot less vital. If a raid does not have a copy of an important raid buff such as Mystic Touch, Devotion Aura, Power Word: Fortitude, or Mark of the Wild, they would almost always benefit by including one regardless of the relative tiering below. ![]() On Raid Buffs: In Dragonflight, most but not all classes have fantastic raid buffs that are hugely valuable in a Mythic progression environment. Survivability is rarely the most important discussion point for raid, but it does certainly add value to some specs and in some tiers it’s been very valuable to have access to certain numbers of immunities for certain mechanics, though this tier doesn’t seem to be one of them. ![]() The value of utility abilities fluctuates based on the encounters as well - a great example of this was the Evoker movement kit lining up super well against the tougher bosses of the last raid. Aberrus in particular looks like it may be on the more Ranged-favored end of the spectrum, with 5 slots being our prediction from Raid Testing, but this prediction comes with a great deal of uncertainty. This makes it significantly harder in raid to stack melee specializations and makes it even more surprising when you see a second or third copy of a specific melee spec. The Melee vs Ranged discrepancy comes into play due to the fact that generally there are 5 - 7 slots for Melee where there are 7 - 9 slots for Ranged. This tier list tries to factor in many variables that may be in place in Aberrus, specifically including number of slots for Ranged vs Melee, strength of utility on encounters, and survivability versus raid damage. Sarkareth has not been tested on any difficulty, so we’re left only with Dungeon Journal and datamined abilities to try and understand that fight - as the end boss of the raid, it’s likely to be the most important one when it comes to understanding which specs are the most valuable for the tier. In addition to this raiding experience, both Dratnos and Tettles have extensive experience doing dungeons at a high level and casting the MDI, TGP, and Race to World First. You can find them at their Twitch and YouTube channels, as well as their podcast, the Titanforge Podcast, which is hosted on the GG WOW YouTube channel. This list was created and is maintained by Dratnos and Tettles, raiders in Hall of Fame guilds and respectively.
